Best boat trip ever, and I have been on a few.
Yesterday we sailed around the island on the good ship Naga. It took around 12 hours with a couple of stops for swimming. The boat had sunbirds and awnings for shade, free ice cold soft drinks and a honesty box pay bar for beer and cocktails in the afternoon.
The food was amazing with a continental style breakfast, Thai food for lunch and satay for afternoon snacks with fresh fruit always available. It was worth going just for the food!
The coastline of the island is beautiful with palm fronded beaches and lots of little islands. One set of Islands is, imaginatively, called 5 Islands and have lots of little huts for the security team that guard the islands from nest robbers. It is from these islands that the birds nests used in birds nest soup originate and they are worth a packet.
We arrived back in harbour as the sun was setting. A perfect day.
