When travelling in SE Asia I often have a runny nose, I blame it on the aircon so I was not surprised to arrive in Bangkok and get the symptoms of a cold. Add to this a sore throat and my last night in Bangkok was one of broken sleep.
So now in Chuang Mai - Last night I kept waking up feeling like I was drowning and panicking that I could not get my breath. C called for the doctor in the wee small hours and he has diagnosed that I have Tonsilitis and an infected lymph node which, coupled with the snot was causing the problems. So now I am on super strength horse tablet antibiotics, decongestants and antihistamines.
The doctor could not have been nicer. Taking it easy today, there are worse places to be ill than in this slice of heaven. There is a ceremony later on here that looks exciting - I will post on that later.
